The Cat Adoption Team (CAT) and DoveLewis Emergency & ICU Animal Hospital invite you to participate in the annual Pets in The Pearl – a fundraising festival for pets and the people who love them!

This year the event took place on Saturday, July 19th, 2008, from 10am to 3pm outdoors at the Ecotrust Conference Center near Jamison Square in the heart of Portland’s Pearl District (CLICK HERE for a map). Pets in The Pearl l included a community-wide fundraising challenge where animals were helping animals, leading up to announcement of the top fundraising teams at the event on July 19th.

Guests each year enjoy a pet mall full of merchandise, gifts and services, live entertainment, refreshments, raffle prizes, pet adoptions, vaccine and microchip clinics, animal experts, and more! CLICK HERE to see what was on the schedule in 2008.

Proceeds from Pets in The Pearl help CAT and DoveLewis continue to offer medical help to hundreds of our community’s injured strays or lost pets who have nowhere else to go. Through a unique partnership between DoveLewis and CAT, stray cats often receive emergency and stabilizing care at DoveLewis, followed by a transfer to CAT where they may receive ongoing care or find a new, loving home.
